Examples of Labour members antisemitism.


We have collated here some examples of antisemitic social media posts by people who are (or appear to be) Labour Party members. We have done this because there are still people who insist that there is no antisemitism in the Labour Party, or who demand to see evidence of it.

In doing this, we are not suggesting that there is no antisemitism in other parties (there is). We are also not asserting that everyone who posts antisemitic material does so in the knowledge that it is antisemitic or is motivated by hatred of Jews. 

But as socialists and Labour supporters, we are concerned to rid Labour of this poison, and in the first place to encourage members to accept that it exists and is a genuine problem.

Who are Socialists Against Antisemitism?

Socialists Against Antisemitism was set up in 2018 by a group of Jews and non-Jews from the left of the labour party who are concerned with the amount of antisemitism being expressed within parts of the left, and in politics more generally. Too often, people have sought to minimise or write off this antisemitism as ‘slurs’, claiming that they are often ‘manufactured’ by ‘Blairites’, ‘Tories’ and/or ‘Zionists’. Our group contains people who identify as left-wing Zionists, as non-Zionists and as anti-Zionists. We differentiate ourselves from other groups such as Jewish Voice for Labour because, despite our often strongly critical views about the government of Israel, the occupation and other human rights issues, we also see that antisemitism is often thinly disguising itself as anti-Zionism or being anti-Israel.
